Thames materials raised £160k for Neuro Harmony charity at their golf day in July 2023. A great day was followed by a big auction night that was supported by celebrity guest Harry Rednapp and interviewer Mick Fitzgerald.

Thames Materials raises £60,000 for charity

Thames Materials raised nearly £60k on their golf day split between two very worthwhile causes – Prostrate Cancer UK and Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre. It was a brilliant day and well supported by customers and friends of the company and with perfect weather to complete the day. The auction was a tremendous success. A perfect evening completed with a question and answer session involving Roy Keane and Mick Fitzgerald.

Golf Day raises £63k for charities

The sun was out once again for our third Sheila Melvin (Gomes) Memorial Cup Charity Golf Day in memory of Sheila a member of staff. With 25 teams of four enjoying a good breakfast they were then on the tees for 12 Noon at the Buckinghamshire Golf Club in Denham. Thames Materials raised an amazing £38,382.52 at their Charity Golf Day on 8th July 2016 held at the Buckinghamshire Golf Course in Denham. This event was run in the memory of the company’s office manager, Sheila Melvin (Gomes), who died in May 2014. This year, the proceeds were donated to Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre (LJMC) in Uxbridge where Sheila was treated and The Alzheimer’s Society – a charity close to heart of Thames Materials. Golfing day raises £36,761 for local Cancer Charity

Shane Geraghty from Thames Materials organised a Golf day with Fiona Hussery of LJMC to honour a member of our staff, Sheila Melvin (Office Manager), who died in May 2014. A corporate golf day was organised in the summer and it smashed all previous fundraising records for Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre.
